Walk Cycle Ride Project

The beauty of our glorious South Pennine landscape is here for all to enjoy. The hills are always close at hand, waiting to be explored and ready to offer the perfect location for a family adventure holiday or adrenalin filled weekend with friends.

A South Pennines Walk Cycle Ride website has been developed by Pennine Prospects using LEADER funding to provide the visitor with a variety of graded walks, cycle rides and horse rides across the area. It is a simple, easy to use site which gives basic information to the visitor to inform their choice – information such as parking, toilet facilities, stiles or steps on the route etc.

In addition, every year we host the Walk Cycle Ride Festival in the South Pennines – two weeks of events around walking, riding and cycling which has something for everyone – the experienced or the not so experienced outdoor enthusiast.
