The local action group is made up of a mixture of local people from the private, public and voluntary sectors. The Group also aims to have a good representative mix of people in terms of age and gender.The Local Action Group will drive forward a programme with a sharp focus on rural economic growth and members therefore have the following skills;

· Strategic planning and implementation

· Leadership and objective setting

· Understanding business finance, opportunity and investment

· Community empowerment and involvement, including networking

· Managing organisational and financial performance

· Managing organisational risk

· Openness to change and managing change

· Equality and diversity

· Marketing media and communications
