Pennine Prospects Annual Conference 2009
Posted: Tuesday September 22, 2009
Tuesday 29th September 2009 at Civic Hall, Uppermill, Oldham OL3 6AE
The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Food and Farming in the South Pennines’ which will help set the agenda for our work over the next 12 months as well as give attendees a flavour of what we have achieved so far.
Keynote speaker, Sir Donald Curry, will focus on the practicalities of food production in the uplands with Rob Macklin giving a view from the National Trust. Other speakers include Peter Allen, NWDA Board member responsible for rural issues and Kelly Armitage, Holme Valley Young Farmers.
Our Chair, Pam Warhurst, will round up the morning by looking at the demand side of local food production.
