Pennine Prospects Annual Conference 2008

Subjects ranging from the future of the unique South Pennines landscape to differing perspectives on it from Leeds and Europe will feature in the second Pennine Prospects annual conference, to be held at Saltaire on Friday, October 3rd.

Other speakers at the conference will outline how Pennine Prospects can help to realise the potential of the area, and act as a model for sustainable living.

The speakers at the conference are John Grimshaw of SUSTRANS, whose address is entitled A Space for Everyone – Realising our Potential; Liz Newton, North West Regional Director of Natural England will speak on Getting It Right as a Landscape for the Future; Les Newby, Director of Yorkshire Futures, will give a Leeds City Perspective on Yorkshire and Humber in 2030, and keynote speaker Linda McAvan, MEP for Yorkshire and the Humber, will give the European Perspective.
