Apprentice rangers with Oldham Council and the National Trust

Jennie Lancashire, Oldham Council and Alyssa Young, National Trust are our two countryside apprentices funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. They will receive free training over their eighteen month placements in ecological surveying, drystone walling and chainsaw.

Pam Warhurst, Chair of Pennine Prospects said ‘This is a great opportunity for young people to become champions for the South Pennines. In Pennine Prospects we have worked hard with our partners to bring alive the South Pennines as a resource for learning for all generations.

With free training; these opportunities with the National Trust and Oldham Council’s Countryside Service will kick start any individual’s interest and passion for the South Pennines.’
