Bracken Hall Museum Walks & Activities 2010/2011

Guided walk to Cliffe Castle Museum
Friday 15th October
9 miles via Saltaire and the Leeds & Liverpool canal to Utley. We cross the valley to Cliffe Castle and return by train from Keighley Railway station.
Meet at Bracken Hall at 10.30am.
Train fare and packed lunch are required.

Big Draw event
Sunday 10th and 24th October
Making a mark on the future– join in with us to create pieces of sculpture made from natural objects and artwork and you don’t even have to use a pencil
Meet at Bracken Hall from 1pm to 5pm

Guided walk to Heaton Woods and Cartwright Hall
Friday 19th November
7 ½ miles through Shipley Glen and Shipley to Northcliffe and Heaton Woods. We return through Frizinghall, Shipley and the Leeds & Liverpool canal.
Meet at Bracken Hall at 10.30am.
Packed lunch required

Guided walk Around Baildon
Friday 17th December
4 ¾ miles following the boundary walk and paths around the moor and woodland edges.
Meet at 10.30am.
Bring along a snack and a drink.

Guided walk to Bingley St. Ives
Friday 28th January
6 ½ miles via Hirst Wood, River Aire, Cottingley Bridge and return through Myrtle Park, Bingley and alongside the Leeds & Liverpool canal.
Meet at Bracken Hall at 10.30am.
Packed lunch required

Guided walk to Eldwick Switchbacks
Friday 18th February
5 miles through Shipley Glen and fields, returning through Eldwick and the Gilstead side of the glen.
Meet at Bracken Hall at 10.30am.
Packed lunch required.

Family Guided walk – Shipley Glen and River Aire
Friday 25th February
3 ½ mile through Shipley Glen, local tracks and trails and into the River Aire valley.
Meet at Bracken Hall at 10.30am.
Bring along a snack and a drink.

Guided walk to Denso Marston Reserve
Friday 18th March
5 miles via Baildon Bank, Butler Lane, Brook Hill and return along the River Aire.
Meet at Bracken Hall at 10.30am
Packed lunch required.

School Holiday Activities for Children.

Wild Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm Join in with lots of FREE environmental activities.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
